MICHAEL PALUMBO is a lighting designer for theatre, opera, dance, and music, including world and regional premieres. He has contributed designs to many theatres including Bedlam (NYC); TheatreWorks Silicon Valley; San Jose Repertory Theatre; Marin Theatre; Opera San Jose; Magic Theatre; Sacramento Opera; San Jose Stage Company; Aurora Theatre Company; American Conservatory Theatre; San Francisco Playhouse; Capital Stage; Diablo Theatre Company; City Lights Theater Company; PaciRic Repertory Theatre; Palo Alto Players; 42nd Street Moon; Teatro Visión de San Jose; University of California, Davis; and Siena College.
He received his MFA in Lighting Design from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2017. He has taught theatrical design at Susquehanna Univrsity, Santa Clara University, and Siena College.
Michael is a member of United Scenic Artists and is currently based in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area.
His producing company, Next Stage Productions (formerly Carollo & Palumbo LLC), has credits including bare: the musical off-Broadway, and the Broadway production of A Time to Kill.
